Berlin - the capital and the largest city of Germany, with Land rights. It covers an area of 890 km2 and is inhabited by nearly 3. 5 million people. Berlin is located in the north-eastern part of Germany. It is situated on the Spree and Havel rivers and their tributaries. The Spree River in the Spandau district flows into Havel, the right tributary of the Elbe. Berlin is located between the Barnim and Teltow plateaux. It is located about 70 kilometres from the border with Poland. The city is divided into 12 districts, further subdivided into sub-districts. Berlin's most important and characteristic monument is the Brandenburg Gate, erected like a city gate and a triumphal arch, following the example of the Athens buildings. The television tower is also very characteristic - the 368 m high observation tower with a famous rotating restaurant, the Church of Remembrance, the German Cathedral and the French Cathedral represent the sacred building. The picturesque place is an architectural ensemble emanating harmony and beauty - the Concert House. Interflora® Berlin.
